Know Before You Go - Consider the season and weather forecast when preparing for a camping event, as some items listed would be dependent upon the weather.
All adults attending Pack Camp events highly recommended to complete Youth Protection Training at my.scouting.org and submit PA Background Checks to Council. (both are required when attending summer camp)
The Cub Scout 6 Essentials
Water Bottle (filled)
Trail snacks
Sunscreen/hat
Flashlight (and extra batteries)
First Aid Kit
Whistle
Tent
Sleeping Bag (or sheets/blanket for cots)
Pillow
Foam Pad (for under sleeping bag)
Chair or Foam Pad to sit on
Groundcloth (sheet of plastic to place under tent)
Bug Spray
Extra Change of clothes
Extra Shoes
Poncho or Rain Coat
Utensils (Fork/Spoon) [We will provide if you don't bring your own]
Cup for hot beverages (coffee, hot chocolate). [We will provide if you don't bring your own]
Towel/Soap
Toothbrush/Toothpaste
Jacket
Gloves
Winter Hat
Water Shoes/Moccasins/Crocs
Hiking staff
Cub Scout Handbook
Pen/Pencil/Paper
Pocketknife (only Bear and older if knife safety adventure is completed)
Hammer for tent stakes (optional)
Paper towels + soap for cleaning utensils/personal dishes. [We will provide if you don't bring your own]
Medications in a labeled container and kept in a secure location
